So this was a bit of an experiment. I have a lot of smaller pieces of different types of Jersey in my stash and I have been looking at this one - a Lady Mcelroy 'Furla Sky' print. The colours in it are gorgeous and it is a textured light weight Ponte Roma type jersey. There was approximately 1.5 metres of it and as I am currently trying to fill my wardrobe with warmer tops because I didn't have anything warmer than a blouse, that is what it was destined to be.
It wouldn't be my first choice of fabric for a top but I am really pleased with how it has tuned out and is surprisingly warm and cosy. I used the Simplicity/Sew House Seven Toaster sweater pattern and I made the funnel neck inspired version but added a bottom band instead of having the split hem.
